No more “Mr. Nice Guy” for Ted Cruz. After the January 14 debate, Ted Cruz is waging an all-out assault on Donald Trump – which includes a series of web videos focusing on the New York Billionaire and some of his past comments.
The RealClearPolitics’s Iowa Republican presidential caucus poll average shows Cruz one point behind Trump, 27.8% to 26.7%. Can Cruz get the bump he need by attacking the frontrunner?
Check out some of Cruz’s attacks below:
Trump on New York Values
During the last debate, Cruz poked fun at “New York values” and Trump was quick to respond by bringing up September 11 to prove New York’s virtue.
Despite it being Cruz’s slip up, his campaign released a clip of Trump on Meet the Press in 1999 explaining what New York values are “in his own words.”
Trump on Hillary
There has already been wide discussion about Donald Trump’s past connection to the Clinton family, but Cruz’s campaign wanted to highlight the nice things Trump has said about Hillary Clinton in the past.
In the video, Trump says, “Hillary Clinton, I think, is a terrific woman. I’m a little biased because I’ve known her for years.”
Trump Booed for Attacking Ted Cruz
During a speech in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Trump comments on how Ted Cruz didn’t report his Goldman Sachs loan. And let’s just say, Trump doesn’t get the response he was hoping for.
