Ray-Ban has demanded Senator Rand Paul’s 2016 presidential campaign to stop selling the iconic Wayfarer sunglasses with the ‘Rand’ logo on them after discovering the campaign was selling the sunglasses without Ray-Ban’s permission.
A spokeswoman from Luxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban, stated that “Ray-Ban is not at all a political brand – we’re focused on making sunglasses that people love.
Paul’s campaign hasn’t commented on the cease and desist action, but we can imagine Rand Paul is throwing shade right about now.
On the other hand, take a look at Vice President Joe Biden’s signature look, which is basically him looking really cool with a pair of aviators. Since no one has banned Biden’s sunglasses, Joe is officially the coolest looking politician in sunglasses – sorry Rand!
With groups of people trying to Draft Biden for 2016, Rand Paul’s campaign better watch out for what’s coming down the road – Ridin’ with Biden:
Well, now the Rand Paul campaign will have to find other schwag that is the “intersection of politics and cool.” Don’t worry, though, you can still buy a giant Rand Paul birthday card online though.
