This week Emily’s List – the leading organization raising funds to elect more women to office nationwide – held its 30th anniversary gala in Washington, D.C. The two-day event featured panel discussions, notable speeches and award ceremonies and attracted top donors, prominent elected officials, political consultants and campaign staff. Speakers and attendees included House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, United States Senators Tammy Baldwin, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Mazie Hirono, Claire McCaskill, Barbara Mikulski and Debbie Stabenow, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Attorney General Kamala Harris and many other high profile female leaders. But no one attracted more headlines and buzz than Hillary Clinton. For years, pundits and members of the press have been salivating, fighting and likely literally dreaming about the question: Is she or isn’t she running for president?
