President-elect Donald Trump has been receiving a lot of flak from Republicans and Democrats recently for appointing former Breitbart executive Steve Bannon as White House Chief Strategist.
Bannon, who called Breitbart a platform for the alt-right movement, is being criticized for having ties to the white nationalist movement. And to add to that criticism, American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive super PAC, listed out all the reasons why Bannon the chief “clear and present danger” for the country.
The video from the PAC plays clips of Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke applauding Trump’s decision. “I think that’s a good sign, because I think Mr. Bannon has really been right on about a lot of issues facing European Americans,” Duke comments.
Additionally, the clip reminds viewers that Bannon has “expressed fear of Jews” and was charged of committing domestic violence.
Former head of the RNC Reince Priebus, Trump’s newly appointed Chief of Staff, commented on the allegations that Bannon has ties to white nationalism saying, “That’s not that Steve Bannon that I know… I have never ever one time experienced that.”
There is a Change.org petition that over 60,000 people have signed to urge Trump to rescind the job offer from Bannon.
