Despite what he may have said on the debate stage, Donald Trump did – without a doubt – tweet that global warming was a “hoax” made up by the Chinese to hurt America’s manufacturing sector.
If that sounds absurd to you, then you aren’t alone. This new ad from the Sierra Club shows that even little kids think Trump’s positions on climate change are ridiculous.
The kids each sit down to read one of Trump’s many tweets about climate change – and all of them seem baffled by the words coming out of their own mouths. “The man made “climate change” that our “great” president should be focused on,” one confused girl reads, “is of the NUCLEAR variety brought upon us because of weakness!” Whatever that means.
Another kid reads Trump’s 2012 tweet where he sarcastically says, “Let’s continue to destroy the competitiveness of our factories & manufacturing so we can fight mythical global warming. China is so happy!” The kid shakes his head in disbelief.
“This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bull***t has to stop…” another girl reads before she asks, “Can somebody that wants to be president say that?” That pretty much sums up the 2016 presidential election.
Gore joins Barack and Michelle Obama, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders in urging younger voters to get out to support Hillary Clinton in November.
“Your vote really, really, really counts,” Gore told the audience. “You can consider me as an Exhibit A of that.” That’s a subtle joke about his 2000 presidential run that surely resonated with the crowd of Florida Democrats.
