With the Republican Congress poised to repeal Obamacare, but not on the verge of coming up with a replacement, a new coalition called Save My Care, is running ads in Alaska, Arizona, Maine, Nevada, Tennessee and West Virginia designed to pressure Republicans and try to save Obamacare.
"No Plan" features four nurses and one doctor warning Congress what will happen if repeal occurs without a sufficient alternative in place.
"They don't have a plan to ensure the 30 million people who will lose their health care," says a nurse. "No plan to cover pre-existing conditions like cancer," notes another. "No plan to keep insurance rates from skyrocketing," adds a third. A doctor chimes in, "Everybody's costs will go up." One final nurse delivers a gruff conclusion, "It's gonna cause pain."
The Save My Care ad campaign is happening in concert with a cross-country bus tour. We'll see if it's enough to prevent Republicans from following through on their long-time pledge to repeal Obamacare.

"Save My Care" Demands No Repeal Without a Replacement
With ominous music in the background, the stern narrator intones, "Congress has taken the first step to rip apart our health care, with no plan to replace it." (Notably, neither "Obamacare" or "Affordable Care Act" are referenced. Only "our health care.")"They don't have a plan to ensure the 30 million people who will lose their health care," says a nurse. Progressive Coalition Warns Of "Repealing Health Care" (Not Obamacare)
"Repealing health care with no plan to replace it is going to hurt all of us," reiterates the narrator, again not specifying the program that would be repealed. The ad ends with a push to "tell Congress we need a plan that protects our care" and a plug for SaveMyCare.org, which offers an easy way to call Senators. The Save My Care ad campaign is happening in concert with a cross-country bus tour.
