Are you a conservative PAC supporting the Supreme Court nomination of Neil Gorsuch? Well, you’re in luck! The Republican Senators released 90-seconds worth of B-roll for you to lift off YouTube and craft into political ads supporting the new SCOTUS nominee.
Of course, government offices are not allowed to coordinate with campaigns, and candidates’ campaigns are not allowed to coordinate with super PACs. But B-roll is the handy loophole that elected officials, candidates and PACs have found.
But you just have to hope it doesn’t get picked up by late night shows who will then relentlessly make fun of you – like in the case of Mitch McConnell or Ted Cruz.
