If you thought the barrage of 30-second pro-Jeb Bush political ads just wasn’t enough, you’re in luck. Right to Rise, a pro-Bush super PAC, released “The Jeb Story” – a 15-minute documentary that takes a deeper look into Bush’s life story.
Not knowing Jeb’s story is probably not the issue voters are having with the former Florida Governor, since the Bush family has been widely known for decades. But the “The Jeb Story” only makes one reference to his political family – making the case that Jeb “always charted his own course” and doesn’t need his dad and brother as a crutch in the election.
According to NY Times, the spot will air in 30-minute blocks on the New England Sports Network and target voters digitally in early primary states.
Right to Rise hasn’t disclosed how much they spent on the 15-minute spot, but the super PAC has already spent $20 million on TV advertising – more than twice as much as any other candidate or outside group.
Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign aired a 30-minute infomercial on prime-time network TV less than a week before Election Day.
Bush is currently in sixth place at 7% in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary polls. With the New Hampshire primary on February 9, 2016, will this 15-minute ad help Jeb Bush gain enough traction in the Granite State?

Right to Rise’s Documentary Is Not Unprecedented
This is not the first time a campaign released a long format political ad for a candidate. Mike Murphy, who is the current executive director of Right to Rise, produced a similar 30-minute town hall style infomercial for the unsuccessful bid of 2010 California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman.Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign aired a 30-minute infomercial on prime-time network TV less than a week before Election Day.
