New Leadership for Ohio, a super PAC supporting P.G. Sittenfeld’s bid for Senate in Ohio, released a 15-second TV ad to show former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland’s, Sittenfeld’s opponent, record on guns. In the ad, Strickland touts his “A+ rating with the National Rifle Association” and how he voted “against the assault weapons ban.” The 15-second spot is retooled from the political ad, “Ted Strickland Won’t” which was released last week by New Leadership for Ohio that compares where Sittenfeld and Strickland stand on gun policy. According to New Leadership for Ohio, “Record” will start airing statewide today on broadcast television for two weeks as part of a $700,000 ad buy. The Democratic primary for the senate seat in Ohio will be held on March 15, 2016, where Sittenfeld and Strickland will face-off for the nomination.
