Green Party presumptive nominee Jill Stein released a new web video today calling for the government to abolish student debt.
The video starts off with The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur interviewing Jill Stein. Stein explains that her campaign is the “only campaign that will cancel student debt.” In which Uygur responds, “That’s when the establishments’ heads explode.”
White noise and loud music start cut off the interview as text shows, “You are not a loan,” which changes to, “You are not alone.”
“We will bail out millennials and others in student debt,” Stein explains. “We did it for the crooks on Wall Street – it’s about time to do it for the millennials and the generation held hostage in debt.”
“We’re picking up where Bernie left off. In fact, you could say we were here back in 2012 doing the same thing, long before Bernie’s campaign,” Stein said.
However, her campaign is facing the same issue the Libertarian presidential ticket is facing – making it on to the national stage. This means being included in national polling and then getting 15% of the vote in order to debate Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in the fall.
The Green Party hasn’t had their convention yet – which will be held in early August. If Stein is officially declared the nominee, her campaign will have until September 26 to make it to the first presidential debate.

Jill Stein’s Path to the White House
Stein has been actively courting disaffected Senator Bernie Sanders supporters, now that Hillary Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee.“We’re picking up where Bernie left off. In fact, you could say we were here back in 2012 doing the same thing, long before Bernie’s campaign,” Stein said.
