Republican Kentucky gubernatorial candidate Matt Bevin is trying to reboot his troubled campaign by casting himself as a political outsider in his latest ad “Fresh Start.”
As we’ve seen political outsiders (like Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina) overtake the establishment in the Republican primary presidential polls, Bevin’s team seems to be grabbing at the coattails to try to get a boost in the polls.
The ad begins by attacking his opponent, Democrat Jack Conway, for being a politician who “will say anything to get elected.” Then continues to reintroduce Bevin’s background in the military and as a businessman, showing he’s someone who can provide a “fresh start for Kentucky.”
