Maryland’s 8th congressional district candidate Kathleen Matthews’ latest political ad urges voters to elect a fresh voice in the upcoming primary on April 26.
“We can't settle for the same old politics. Not when our basic rights are being threatened by Trump and Cruz,” Matthews says. “I'll stand up to their bigotry and be a passionate voice for Maryland women and families.”
While she attacks Trump and Cruz, Matthews also compares herself to some of her opponents’ campaign tactics. During this campaign, Senator Jamie Raskin was criticized for exaggerating his role in passing legislation and Total Wine & More founder David Trone spent more than $9 million of his personal wealth.
Matthews ends her ad, “In TV and in business, I built relationships. As a woman in the house, I'll do the same to get things done.”
