Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson is reaching out to millennial voters with a new political ad to proclaim: the two party system has “blown” it, bro.
In the ad “RISE,” Johnson is dressed down with sunglasses on his head and Bluetooth headphones around his neck. His monologue is cut up with shots of faceless riot police and “big brother” security cameras – giving the whole thing a hint of a “John McAfee” feel.
Johnson speaks directly into the camera to “admit” that “people my age have made a real mess of things for people your age.” The Libertarian presidential candidate calls for young voters to stop electing politicians from the two major parties.
“As your president, I’ll put your priorities before my own,” Johnson adds. He explains that millennials only have to do one thing – go out and vote.
In some polls, Johnson has seen a surge in battleground states. He has hit 15% in Colorado and 12% in Virginia. He’ll need to secure 15% nationwide in order to make the debate stage on September 26, 2016.
