Kentucky congressional candidate Mike Pape first made waves with one of the most racist ads of the 2016 election. His second spot is a lot less controversial though – showing a Donald Trump supporter and a Ted Cruz fan bond over their support of Mike Pape.
The ad “Unlike” is set during the Kentucky Republican presidential caucus from March 5 where Dawn, a Donald Trump fan, and Ned, Ted Cruz fan, bump into each other.
Before a brawl breaks out between the two about their presidential choice, Ned asks which congressional candidate Dawn will vote for. Both agree Pape is the best candidate for Kentucky’s 1st district. The voters say Pape will build the wall and repeal Obamacare – unlike his primary opponent James Comer.
Pape will face Comer and two other Republican contenders at the primary on May 17, so stay tuned as we continue to follow the latest political ads from the election.
“Unlike” started airing yesterday as part of a six-figure ad buy in the Paducah, Evansville, Nashville, Bowling Green and Lexington markets.
