Lindsay Graham’s long shot campaign for the Republican presidential nomination launched their first political spots this week – leveraging the name ID of his powerhouse friend – Senator John McCain.
In this first TV spot, a friendly McCain directly addresses the camera: “People of New Hampshire have always been very good to me and you’ve always appreciated straight talk. There’s one candidate in this race I’d like you to consider: Lindsey Graham.”
McCain touts Graham’s military experience and the state’s significant role in choosing the next president.
McCain has always been popular in the Granite State. Back in 2000, he received 48.5% of the presidential primary vote (Bush, the eventual GOP nominee, received 30%). During his second presidential bid, McCain again came out on top – this time with 37% to Romney’s 32% of the primary vote.
