The creator of Demon Sheep, Fred Davis, (who now works for a pro-John Kasich Super PAC) has released a new spot that draws a direct contrast between Kasich and GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
You won't find any creepy sheep, but "Momentum" opens up with a helicopter (which Donald Trump is famous for arriving to campaign events in) and a list of characteristics that seem to describe Trump. "He's turned red ink to black. Shattered expectations. Experience. Success," the ad states.
As the helicopter reveals a big 'Kasich' emblazoned on the side, and the narrator continues, "he's done great things - not for himself, but for us."
New Day for America has characterized this ad buy as "substantial," and will be running the spot on New Hampshire broadcast and cable TV until October 12.
"Momentum" is the fifth ad from the PAC on New Hampshire airwaves, bringing their ad buy spending to $5.7 million.
Kasich has admitted that he is "still largely unknown nationally." He may have another opportunity in the limelight at the next GOP debate on October 28, in Boulder, Colorado - especially since other establishment GOP contenders have started to drop out of the race.
Want to watch more ads? In case you’ve missed it, Carly Fiorina’s campaign team may have hit a new low with their recent ad. Watch it here, but this spot is truly disturbing and not for the faint of heart.
