There’s nothing new about using guns in political ads – but in the 2016 election, it seems to be a more common prop than relying on your political family.
One candidate went “RINO”-hunting, we saw fairy tale characters arm themselves and now we see Jason Kander, a Democrat and war veteran, assemble a gun blindfolded.
The Democratic Missouri U.S. Senate candidate is taking aim at his opponent Republican Sen. Roy Blunt after being attacked on guns rights.
“In the army, I learned how to use and respect my rifle. In Afghanistan, I'd volunteer to be an extra gun in a convoy of unarmored SUVs. In the State Legislature, I supported second amendment rights. I also believe in background checks so terrorists can’t get their hands on one of these,” Kander explains all while assembling an AR-15 blindfolded.
And the kicker: "I approved this message, because I'd like to see Sen. Blunt do this."
Let’s hope Blunt takes the bait and releases his own political ad to fire back.
