In a video for the 2017 Makers conference, Hillary Clinton spoke about the future of women's rights and continuation of a movement that started with the Women's March in January.
This video marks the first time Clinton has appeared in a video statement since Donald Trump's inauguration, and is one of only a few times she has appeared since the 2016 election in November.
"Despite all the challenges we face, I remain convinced that yes, the future is female," Clinton said, echoing a slogan that has become more widely used since the Women's March a few weeks ago. "Just look at the amazing energy we saw last month as women organized a march that galvanized millions of people all over our country and across the world."
"And remember, you are the heroes and history makers, the glass ceiling breakers of the future. As I've said before, I'll say again, never doubt you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and every opportunity in the world."
Eva Longoria, Cecile Richards and many other entrepreneurs, business leaders, technology leaders, organizers and activists will also speak at the Makers Conference this week.
