Hillary Clinton is bringing the fight to Donald Trump on their home turf – New York. In her first TV ad in The Empire State, Clinton calls out Trump for causing divisiveness in the election.
Clinton’s 30-second ad doesn’t mention her primary opponent, Bernie Sanders, but instead focuses on the Republican frontrunner.
Trump and Clinton both have a history with New York – Trump’s business is based in New York City, and Clinton served as the state’s senator from 2001-2009. They are both still popular in the state, where they are each commanding a comfortable lead over their primary rivals.
Sanders is the only other “New Yorker” in the race, and recently opened a campaign office in his native borough, Brooklyn – where Clinton’s main campaign headquarters is located.
The Clinton campaign doesn’t seem too worried about that though – and this general election-focused ad is evidence of that.

Hillary Clinton: ‘Unity’ is The Real ‘New York Value’
Over images of Trump Tower in Manhattan and footage from Trump’s rallies, Clinton says, "When some say we can solve America's problems by building walls, banning people based on their religion and turning against each other – well, this is New York. And we know better."
