A new political ad from the Hillary Clinton campaign features testimony from a former nuclear missile launch officer named Bruce Blair.
“If the president gave the order we had to launch the missiles, that would be it,” Blair says in the ad. “I prayed that call would never come. Self-control may be all that keeps these missiles from firing.”
In the ad, titled "Silo," we see images of a nuclear launch room and then a close-up of a nuclear warhead appear on the screen. As a siren sounds, the spot transitions to clips of Donald Trump telling a rally that would “bomb the shit out of them,” how he wants to “be unpredictable,” and declaring, “I love war.”
Blair ends, "The thought of Donald Trump with nuclear weapons scares me to death – it should scare everyone."
Priorities USA, a pro-Clinton super PAC, have also launched an ad along the same line – but with more of football theme.
This isn't the first time Clinton took a page out of LBJ's advertising playbook. The campaign recreated "Confessions of a Republican" – using the same actor from LBJ's political ad.
The Clinton campaign said the “Silo” is airing nationally on cable and on broadcast stations in six swing states.

Hillary Clinton Channels LBJ's "Daisy" Ad
"Silo" has a slight resemblance to Lyndon B. Johnson's famous 1964 "Daisy" ad. LBJ's ad played on fears that Barry Goldwater would be trigger-happy. Now Clinton hopes to use those same themes against Donald Trump.Priorities USA, a pro-Clinton super PAC, have also launched an ad along the same line – but with more of football theme.
