Although we have seen countless PSAs focused on drunk driving, Budweiser is trying something a little different for this year’s Super Bowl 50. Instead of showing us heart-wrenching tales of cute puppies and Clydesdales, they brought in the queen herself – Helen Mirren – to throw insults our way. Mirren, being “a notoriously frank and uncensored British lady,” calls out the “short-sighted, utterly useless, oxygen-wasting” humans who drive drunk. She states that the “collective we” are “dumfounded that people still drive drunk” and continues to insult anyone who would think about driving drunk. Budweiser’s Vice President of Marketing Brian Perkins said, "We want this spot to really cut through and create conversation about drunken driving."
