As Jeb Bush’s poll numbers drop - with the recent NBC/Marist New Hampshire poll showing him at 8%, compared to frontrunners Donald Trump at 27% and John Kasich at 11.7% - his campaign is ramping up for its first major ad buy.
The buy totals $500,000 and is being placed on WMUR and statewide cable networks in New Hampshire and Boston broadcast television (the Boston media market reaches into southern New Hampshire). About 15% of the initial buy will be directed to online advertising.
The spot, “I’ve Delivered,” will air through September 29 to show voters that Jeb is “offering something different: leadership, ideas and a proven conservative record.”
Jeb’s campaign wants to highlight the former Florida Governor’s conservative record, and make sure voters know he’s not a “DC politician.” But it might be hard for Bush to use the “DC outsider” argument when two members of his family are former U.S. Presidents.
Continuing the feud, Trump swung back on Instagram.
