The Republican Party has been split into two factions – Donald Trump supporters and the ever shrinking #NeverTrump movement. But after much deliberation, the Party is hoping to unite those two factions around one shared belief: Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have made the world less safe.
The Republican National Committee released “New Leadership, New Outcomes” to promote Trump’s leadership prowess – also making it the first pro-Trump appearance in an official RNC video.
The ad focuses on clips of the most recent terrorist attacks in Brussels, Nice and Orlando, while Trump emphasizes how America is less safe and less stable than it used to be.
“A change in leadership is required to produce a change in outcomes,” Trump proclaims.
The video also includes clips of how the Russian government is over stepping its reach. It fails to mention how Trump encouraged Russian President Vladimir Putin to hack into Hillary Clinton’s email server, which may violate the Logan Act – an act that prohibits Americans from “siding with the enemy.”
As a kicker, the ad throws in a quote from Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, who declares that we are embroiled in “World War III” – even if we don’t know it.
Clinton’s team is hoping to break down this support by instead asking “if Trump is a good role model for our children?” When voters were asked this question in June, 25% answered Trump is a good role model, while 52% sided with Clinton.
But if any polls should alarm the Clinton campaign it’s the ones conducted right after the RNC – the ones that show Trump up nationwide.

Do Voters See Trump as a Leader?
As the RNC hopes to prop up Trump as the “new leadership” America needs, a May poll showed that 55% of registered voters believe Trump has strong qualities of leadership. Clinton polls at 54%.Clinton’s team is hoping to break down this support by instead asking “if Trump is a good role model for our children?” When voters were asked this question in June, 25% answered Trump is a good role model, while 52% sided with Clinton.
