In anticipation for Super Tuesday, the Hillary Clinton campaign released a new TV spot featuring gun violence victim and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. Giffords survived a mass shooting in 2011 during a constituent meeting held at a supermarket parking lot in Casa Adobes, Arizona.
In the ad, Giffords pledges her support behind Clinton because “she’s tough and will stand up to the gun lobby.” Giffords has also joined Clinton on the campaign trail, stopping in South Carolina to pay tribute to victims of gun violence.
The 30-second spot “Gabby” is slated to air in Massachusetts leading up to Super Tuesday.
