If run-of-the-mill political punditry was to be believed over the last year, Donald Trump has “killed” his own campaign on multiple occasions, only to inexplicably reincarnate it into a darker version of its former self and continue to gather more support throughout the nation.
But the last week of the Trump campaign has been different. First the revelation of a leaked video showing Trump making lecherous comments about women in 2005 was compounded by damning reporting from the New York Times that alleged Trump potentially didn’t pay federal income taxes for 18 years. That was followed by back-to-back debate performances – which were anything but helpful to Trump’s cause. Now, even the Hillary Clinton campaign is predicting that America may – finally – be witnessing the end of the Trump campaign. Prepare yourself for the “Final Meltdown.”
What exactly does that mean? Even Fox’s Bill O’Reilly wondered. “Are you going to be more outspoken?” the anchor asks Trump.
“I don’t think I’m that outspoken,” Trump responds. “I wouldn’t want to be in a foxhole with a lot of these people.”
Then O’Reilly, who seems to have finally had the revelation about Trump that most Americans had more than a year ago, replies, “I don’t know what good it does to trash people.”
Apparently trashing people was good enough to win the Republican Primary – but the Clinton campaign is hoping traditional punditry is finally right, and insults are not enough to win the presidency in the end. Sticking the moniker of “Final” to this ad is a clear indicator that the Clinton camp wants voters to believe this election is over, and Trump is going down in flames.
“Donald Trump is now out of control in a way that even we have not seen.” One news anchor says. “This is a nuclear bomb. We are watching an unhinged candidate.” Perhaps this time the label of “unhinged” will actually stick.
But Trump’s candidacy was predicated on being an unprecedented firestorm in Washington D.C. Win or lose the presidency, Trump seems to be hell bent on sticking to that plan, taking as many establishment Republicans down in flames with him as he can – even if it means burning all the bridges he built along the way.

Donald Trump Goes Full Breitbart
As the sinking Trump ship began to appear irreparable, many of its crew abandoned ship in droves – allowing Trump to remove the “shackles” of polite party politicking so he could “fight for America” on his own terms. What exactly does that mean? Even Fox’s Bill O’Reilly wondered. “Are you going to be more outspoken?” the anchor asks Trump.

Is Donald Trump Finally on the Downward Spiral That He Avoided Many Times Before?
With only mere weeks until Election Day, it would be silly – and likely useless – to start making predictions on Trump’s future. Nevertheless, the insurgent populist is laying the groundwork for a political world where his candidacy only represents an existential threat to the Republican Party and American politics as a whole, rather than a threat that is all too close to clutching power in the highest office of the free world. But Trump’s candidacy was predicated on being an unprecedented firestorm in Washington D.C.
