The Defeat Crooked Hillary super PAC, incorporated with the Federal Election Commission as Make America Number 1, has shifted from an online-only campaign to launching political ads on TV.
The first TV political ad features an African American actress who is pretends to be hired to record a pro-Clinton ad. But halfway through filming, she cuts the tape because she cannot lie her way through the ad.
“I can’t say these words… I just don’t believe what I’m saying,” she explains after calling Clinton “honest and trustworthy.”
The off-camera “director” filming her responds, “But you’re an actress.” She retorts, “I’m not that good of an actress.”
The group will air these ads in Ohio and Pennsylvania as part of a $350,000 ad buy.
Before Sunday, Defeat Crooked Hillary’s messages were digital, broadcast on social media and emails. The move toward broadcast is an attempt to increase its presence and to boost Trump.
