Democrat John Gregg, candidate for Indiana governor, is responding to his opponent Eric Holcomb’s attacks by cutting his own 30-second ad.
Last week, Holcomb struck at Gregg for turning a “$2 billion surplus into a massive deficit” and cutting education spending. Holcomb went on to explain how he fixed Gregg’s mistakes and helped ushered in the “Indiana Comeback.”
In response, Gregg claims the attacks are “misleading” and Holcomb is just “hiding” how he “hand-picked by Governor Pence and 22 political insiders.”
“Holcomb will rubber stamp the same old policies,” the narrator claims. Teaching to the test, losing jobs and low wages are just a few the ad lists off.
As the two continue to lob attacks at each other, the polls show the two neck-and-neck. The latest Monmouth poll shows Holcomb one point ahead of Gregg – 42% to 41%. However, an internal Democratic poll places Gregg ahead by seven points.
