As if the UK didn’t have enough on its plate, now they have to put up with Donald Trump for a few days.
The GOP presumptive presidential nominee announced that he is traveling to Scotland – but not for official presidential business. Trump is heading to Scotland to promote a golf course his company purchased on the country’s southwestern coast.
According to New York Times, Trump told aides that he hopes the trip will provide a “much-needed reset for his campaign.”
The Briefing, the opposition research arm of the Hillary Clinton campaign, released this web video to highlight the impression Trump has made on the UK.
We even see Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron tell British Parliament, “If he does come to our country, I think we would unite us all against him.”
So maybe Trump’s trip to the UK right in the middle of Britain’s referendum is really a calculated political stunt against Brexit – but we aren’t holding our breath.
