Who needs press conferences when you have more than 15 million Twitter followers? Not President-elect Donald Trump. In one of the rare appearances he has made since his election a few weeks ago, Trump released a two-and-a-half-minute video last night, outlining the plans for the first 100 days of the President Donald Trump administration.
Like virtually his whole campaign, the video is heavy on promise but light on details. Well ok, you can’t fit too much into a two-and-a-half-minute video – and apparently not too much can be fit into the first hundred days of a president’s term either.
Equally as interesting as what the president-elect intends to tackle in his first hundred days, is the campaign promises that his incoming administration is deciding not to take care of first-thing.
Directly connected to creating jobs, are Trump’s first three promises:
1. “Issue a notification of intent to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership – a potential disaster for our country.” Given the mood of the electorate this year, it sounds like that trade deal would have likely been scrapped no matter who won the election.
2. Cancel “job killing restrictions” on the production of American energy – including shale energy and ‘clean’ coal.” Of course, if you are someone who believes in the existence and human-caused exacerbation of climate change (like 97% of the world’s scientists) then you could also call those “job-killing restrictions,” “environmental protection regulations.”
3. 2-for-1 Cuts: A new rule that says for every new regulation, two old ones have got to go. Paul Ryan has to be happy about that.
Trump’s first 100 days is big on creating new jobs – but that’s not all he plans on doing:
4. On National Security: Protect America’s vital infrastructure from cyber-attacks. That includes protecting the energy grid, the transportation network, dam and canal systems and electronic voting machines… wait, maybe not that last one.
5. Immigration: “Investigate abuses of Visa Programs.” … Yeah that’s it actually. Guess it takes a lot more than 100 days to build a 1,900-mile border wall with Mexico and deport 11 million people.
And lastly, getting around to eventually draining the swamp:
6. Ethics reform: “Five-year ban on executive officials becoming lobbyists after they leave the administration, and a lifetime ban on executive officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.” Note the use of the word “after” since if these were the prerequisites for joining the Trump administration, then Rudy Giuliani, Paul Manafort, Mike Flynn and a whole bunch of other Trump loyalists would be out of a potential job.
1. Repealing and replacing Obamacare. The repeal part is easy. But the replace part is a bit harder. Doing either without kicking 20 million people off their health insurance? That’s a whole different ballgame… a “big league” ballgame, if you will.
2. Building a border wall with Mexico. Mexico’s check probably hasn’t cleared yet.
3. Instituting a ban on Muslims entering the United States. Maybe someone in the incoming Trump administration finally figured out “what the hell is going on.”
Plenty of other promises got left out of Trump’s update video – but hey, it’s a pretty heavy lift for the President-elect’s first hundred days. Apparently making America great again takes some time – even for Donald J. Trump.

What President-Elect Donald Trump Says He Will Conquer in His First 100 Days
In his update message, Trump simplifies his goal: “My agenda will be based on a simple core principle: putting America first,” he says. “I want the next generation of production and innovation to happen right here, on our great homeland: America – creating wealth and jobs for American workers.”Directly connected to creating jobs, are Trump’s first three promises:

What President-Elect Donald Trump Will Not Conquer in His First 100 Days
President-elect Trump made a lot of promises during his year and a half long campaign – and now that he won, the American people, many of whom supported him, are looking for answers. But there are some things that Trump doesn’t appear to be eager to take care of in his first hundred days in office. Here’s just the top three examples:1. Repealing and replacing Obamacare. The repeal part is easy. But the replace part is a bit harder. Doing either without kicking 20 million people off their health insurance?
