Democratic Rep. Scott Peters is running for reelection in California’s 52nd congressional district and in his second political ad, he proposes how to "fix Congress now."
"We see it every day, Washington is broken," Peters starts off the ad. The ad then shows different people proposing how Congress can be improved, such as getting special interests out of the political process, stopping pay checks if the government shuts down and having the Members of Congress actually vote on bills.
On Peters' campaign site, he has a tab dedicated to his plan on how to fix Congress.
In a town hall in 2015, Peters explained, "My plan will make a number of reforms to fix Congress and get government working for the people again. The effort will also require a cultural shift in government away from continued bureaucratic growth and toward efficient customer service that better serves the taxpayer.”
According to the campaign, the ad “Fix” started airing on broadcast and cable in the San Diego area on Wednesday, September 28th.
