Congressional hopeful and former Obama administration official Ro Khanna sets his sights on helping Hillary Clinton when she gets to the White House in his latest political ad.
The upbeat and fast paced ad opens with the narrator confidently claiming, “A Hillary Clinton White House will need a better Congress.” Without mentioning his opponent, 8-term incumbent Congressman Mike Honda, Khanna labels himself as someone who will help fix an ineffective, corrupt Congress – starting with defeating Honda.
The ad also introduces Khanna as a candidate who will fight for better schools, invest in a stronger economy and push for equal pay for women.
The narrator ends the ad asserting, “Ro for the rest of us.”
Honda’s campaign has suffered a blow due to an ongoing ethics investigations and the loss of high ranking staff. An internal poll published by the Khanna campaign shows Khanna leading Rep. Honda 42-36, with 22% of likely voters still undecided. Additionally, the poll shows that unfavorable support for Honda has increased by 10 points since September 2015.

The Heated Battle for California’s 17th Congressional District
The 2016 election cycle has been an exciting one for California’s 17th Congressional district. In 2014, Khanna went head to head against Honda. Although Khanna lost, he’s back with a vengeance.
