As all political eyes turn to Nevada, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is re-launching an attack ad campaign against Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Nevada Catherine Cortez Masto.
“Around the World with Catherine Cortez Masto” was first released back in December 2015. The attack highlighted the “36 lavish trips” Cortez Masto took while she served as Attorney General, and, according to the ad, all on the dime of special interest groups.
According to Politico, media-buying sources said the NRSC is spending $4,500 to re-air the ad during the Nevada Democratic caucus and South Carolina GOP primary.
Catherine Cortez Masto served as the Attorney General of Nevada from 2007 to 2015 and is running to replace Harry Reid’s seat in the 2016 senatorial election, after he announced in 2015 that he was not seeking reelection.
