The clamor over Beto O'Rourke hasn't ended despite his loss to Sen. Ted Cruz. As speculation builds about a presidential campaign, a behind-the-scenes documentary of the O'Rourke campaign is in the works from Crooked Media, which also produces the popular "Pod Save America" podcast.
The filmmakers are regularly teasing the documentary with clips from the trail posted to their Twitter feed. One that is sure to strike a chord with Beto fans is this montage of Beto campaigning with babies. Another features Beto with cute dogs.
Campaign trail or campaign... tail? We saw firsthand @betoorourke’s dedicated commitment to meeting all his potential constituents this year, including those of the four-legged variety. •#BetoORourke#TheBetoDoc pic.twitter.com/Dq6AE280J3— The Beto Doc (@TheBetoDoc) November 24, 2018
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is being directed by David Modigliani, who previously made the documentary "Crawford," about the small Texas town where President George W. Bush built his ranch. Modigliani, whose crew followed the O'Rourke Senate campaign from October 2017 through Election Day 2018, has promised "an entertaining, no-bullshit film about this campaign."
