Kamala Harris, California Attorney General and Democratic candidate for the open U.S. Senate seat, released a new political ad showcasing her endorsement from California Governor Jerry Brown.
The ad, “Strong” asks, “Why does Governor Jerry Brown support Kamala Harris for U.S. Senate?”
“She’s strong, she’s intelligent, she knows what she’s doing,” Governor Jerry Brown responds during a press conference at the state Democratic Party headquarters in Sacramento.
Governor Brown has maintained high approval ratings for the past few years – hovering around 56% across the state and 77% among Democrats. His endorsement, as well as the California Democratic Party and the Sierra Club mentioned in the ad, is expected to help Harris secure one of the top two positions in the June 7 primary.
Brown throw his klout behind Hillary Clinton saying she’s the only way to “stop the dangerous candidacy of Donald Trump." In his endorsement, he did tip his hat to Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, remarking how "deeply impressed" with Sanders and with the Senator’s message of the growing divide between the wealthy and the rest of Americans.
The California primary is in one week – take a look at the other ads that are airing in the Golden State.
