Duf Sundheim, Republican candidate for California U.S. Senate, released a web video today to address his position on education.
Sundheim kicks of the video explaining, “Sometimes people ask because of my views on education if I’m anti-union – and nothing could be further from the truth.” He continues to explain how he’s “pro-teacher,” coming from a family and a background of working in schools. His main concern is the “suffocating effect the union rules have had on our educational system.”
In his video, he explains, “It’s not a question of whether you are anti-union or pro-union… it’s a matter of putting the students first.”
However, Democrats Kamala Harris and Loretta Sanchez are expected to clinch the top two primary positions – making it the first U.S. Senate election to have two candidates of the same party in the general election.
The California primary is next week, on June 7, 2016 – check out some of the political ads that are airing across the Golden State.

Making Education Great Again
According to Sundheim’s website, one of his main issues is to “make k-12 education great again” – taking of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.” His number one education priority is to “end common core and return control of our local schools.”In his video, he explains, “It’s not a question of whether you are anti-union or pro-union… it’s a matter of putting the students first.”
