To celebrate the fifth anniversary of First Lady Michelle Obama’s anti-obesity initiative Lets Move!, the campaign launched an effort for people to “#GimmeFive” ways they keep fit.
President Barack Obama’s #GimmeFive
President Barack Obama kicked things off with a video showing five ways that “even a President can stay active and healthy,” including “get my workout in every morning,” “take the stairs” and “don’t sit for every meeting, do a walk-and-talk.” Then he challenged Michelle to “give me five, FLOTUS-style.”
“FLOTUS Style” Beats “POTUS Style”
Yawn, Mr. President. Those are great ways to stay healthy, but the First Lady takes it to a whole other level.
We see her in the White House Athletic Unit as her trainer Cornell McClellan explains five elements of her workout regimen. She impresses us with her jump rope skillz, lifts weights like a champ, shows us the ol’ boxing 1-2 and kick-boxes, jumps and does squats.
Oh, and don’t forget about that one time Vice President Joe Biden and his famous curls for the girls.
