Billionaire Donald Trump hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend, giving the show the biggest boost in ratings it’s had in four years. An estimated 10 million viewers tuned in last Saturday – 47% more than the Hillary Clinton episode.
But it wasn’t The Donald who stood out in the show’s 789th episode… It was Larry David who arguably stole the show.
“I Want Your Vacuum Pennies!”
Reprising his role as Bernie Sanders, Larry David mocks the recent MSNBC Democratic Forum hosted by Rachel Maddow, which he jokingly says nobody watched. The biggest call to action during the bit? David tells the American people to send in their “vacuum pennies” – the “coins of the middle class.”
Larry David Calls Donald Trump a Racist
The second time Larry David appeared on the screen was during the opening monologue. After a political group, Deport Racism PAC, offered any audience member $5,000 to call Trump a racist on SNL, Larry David interrupted the three Donalds on stage by calling out, “You’re a racist.”
Of course, Trump was in on the joke and David admitted he was only in it for the money. Playful opening banter.
Other Highlights from Trump on SNL
Although David may have stolen the spotlight, Trump’s performance in “Hotline Bling” parody is one you don’t want to miss. Dancin’ like a Tax Man.
