Susan Eggman is 2016 Democratic candidate for California’s 13th State Assembly District. Eggman grew up on her family’s small almond orchard and bee farm. Out of high school, Eggman joined the United States Army and served for 4 years as a medic. After she left the service, she attended California State University, Stanislaus, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in social work.
Eggman previously served on the Stockton City Council and was the first hispanic woman elected to the governing body. She is committed to improving access to healthcare, expanding educational opportunities and lowering crime rates. Eggman has lived with her partner Renee for over 30 years in Victory Park Neighborhood, where they raise Renee’s niece, Eme.
