Marc Berman is a 2016 Democratic candidate for California’s 24 State Assembly District. The 24th District encompasses North Fair Oaks, Atherton, Menlo Park, East Palo Alto, Woodside, Portola Valley, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Sunnyvale and a portion of Cupertino.
Berman graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in political science. He then graduated from law school at the University of Southern California, where he was elected president of the Student Bar Association and served for two years on the Southern California Law Review.
Berman is now a member of the Palo Alto City Council. Marc has been a leader on the City Council on issues such as infrastructure improvements and financial transparency. He is also a member of Palo Alto’s Infrastructure Committee where he has greatly improved the infrastructure of the community. As chair of the Finance Committee, Berman worked with the Office of Management and Budget to create the Budget in Brief. Some of the issues that Berman has made his priority are infrastructure, education, environment, transportation, water and women’s civil rights.
