President Donald Trump has (already) decided to cut Anthony – The Mooch – Scaramucci from his position as communications director, according to the New York Times. We’re pretty sure that makes The Mooch the record holder for the shortest career of any White House staffer so far – a whole 10 days.
But those 10 days were not inconsequential. After unleashing a profanity-laden tirade against now-former White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, Priebus was removed from his position and replaced by General John Kelly.
According to the New York Times, “The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge.”
At this time, no one is clear on whether Scaramucci will remain at the White House or will leave altogether.
We hear the Justice Department may have an opening pretty soon…
