Conservative talk radio host Dana Loesch recently appeared in a promotional ad for the National Rifle Association, where she promoted her role as a gun-owning mother and over the weekend, a graphic artist altered the ad’s ending to portray Dana Loesch shooting herself in the head.
Watch it below: Warning, graphic content.
Dana Loesch, host of BlazeTV program DANA, tweeted the video to her 303,000 followers – kicking-up a Twitter storm of growing proportion.
The maker of the video, “Pin Head” (@TomAdelsbach) defended his video, saying it was satire designed to highlight the problem of accidental shootings in America.
Loesch didn’t buy the satire argument and said that she had the video removed from Twitter (despite posting it on her own account) and contacted the FBI:
Followers of both Loesch and Adelsbach got involved in the argument, adding fuel to the fire. In some cases Adelsbach’s anti-gun video backfired on him when it inspired some of Loesch’s supporters to join the NRA:
But Adelsbach had some supporters of his own that came to his defense:
And Loesch aimed to turn that around:
Gun-manufacturing conglomerate Remington Arms threw in their two cents, while also offering some concealed carry support:
Guns rights activists appreciated the gesture, and it looks like it may have snagged a few sales for Remington:
So what’s the moral of the story? If you are going to criticize a popular pro-gun activist and mom, make sure your argument is bulletproof.
